Chair Stretch & Strength

This 45-minute class is done seated in a chair or standing with the support of a chair. The focus of the class is calming the mind and stretching and strengthening the body from head to toe. If you are new to yoga, have difficulty getting down to the floor, experience pain in your muscles or joints, loss of energy, or balance issues due to peripheral neuropathy, this class is for you.

Equipment needed: Yoga mat, chair, strap, 1 block, hand weights. If you don’t have equipment available, try swapping these items:

  • Yoga mat – move to carpet, take off socks
  • Strap – tie, belt, scarf
  • Blocks – small cushion, stack of books
  • Hand weights – soup cans, water bottles
