13 Weeks to Wellness Starts Week of 9/20!

2 Aug, 2021
The Zakim Center for Integrative Therapies and Healthy Living is currently enrolling participants for 13 Weeks to Wellness ─ an online nutrition program. This course is designed to help you rekindle healthy habits in challenging times. Each supportive small group meets one hour per week and gives you the tools and guidance needed to establish new routines that meet your health and wellbeing goals.

Stephanie Meyers, MS, RDN, Nutrition Coordinator in the Zakim Center will guide you to implement a behavior-based Mediterranean approach to eating. This is not a diet, but a lifestyle intervention program facilitating shifts in both food habits and mindset as they relate to behavior change. Each week you’ll receive practical nutrition suggestions, new recipes and asynchronous links to enhance learning. The curriculum emphasizes your personalized learning and goal setting week-to-week.

In addition to creating flexible and sustainable nutrition plans we’ll discuss how habits form; the ups and downs of behavior change and how to practice self-compassion as an eater. Harnessing the advantages of working in a group from the comfort of your own home, this course offers shared learning and peer support with a commitment to help every participant find their “new normal” when it comes to wellbeing.

The 13 Weeks to Wellness program is open to all Dana-Farber patients in a virtual format via Zoom. Registration is required along with a commitment to attend each of the thirteen sessions, with video on. There are two options for patients: Tuesdays at 4:30pm (starting September 21st) or Wednedays at 10am (starting September 22nd). This course is free of charge, but space is limited. Email the Zakim Center to be added to the waitlist!
