Drawing on Rocks Inspired by Paintings on Unusual Surfaces, with the MFA

Wednesday, Feb. 18, 11 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. ET

Join us this February to draw on rocks. Inspired by paintings on unusual surfaces on view at the Museum of Fine Arts, we’ll create our own drawings on smooth river rocks. We’ll learn about different mindfulness drawing patterns that you can do anywhere, anytime, and on any surface. These beautiful rocks are a cheerful and calming decoration to have at home, to meditate with, to carry with you, and to give as gifts!

*Please let us know if you need a pencil mailed to you.

Mindfulness Globes

Tuesday, Feb. 24, 11 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. ET

Back by popular demand, we’ll combine mindfulness & creativity to make our own mindfulness globes. Imagine a snow globe, however, this one, created uniquely by you! When shaken, the globe’s contents swirl like our busy thoughts and watching them settle can bring a sense of focus, calm, and relaxation. Mindfulness globes can add beauty and color to your space, and also serve as a tool for directing focus and calming the mind.

*Please choose one workshop and email Zakim_Center@dfci.harvard.edu to register.
