Sign up for a Creative Arts Workshop in July (REGISTRATION CLOSED)

12 Jun, 2025
Explore how creative arts activities can support relaxation to help you feel better and connect with others in the Dana-Farber community by joining the Zakim Center's monthly Creative Arts Online Workshops via Zoom. Materials will be provided and no experience is necessary to participate, but space is limited and registration is required.
*These programs are open to Dana-Farber patients and caregivers.

Please note that our July workshops are at capacity and now closed. But you can email us to be added to the waitlist.

Jewelry Making with the MFA – Join us this July to bedazzle yourself with handmade jewelry. Inspired by the design and history of some incredible pieces in the jewelry collection at the Museum of Fine Arts, we’ll create our own brooches and pins using small paper collages. Dress up your clothes, lanyards, and bags with some unique jewelry made by you!

If you missed our jewelry workshop in February or you want to make even more jewelry, this workshop is for you! This workshop will be a variation of our last jewelry workshop. We will use similar materials to make brooches and pins instead of necklaces, and will view a new selection of artwork for inspiration!
*Please let us know if you would us like to send a pair of scissors and/or pencil with your supplies.

Wednesday, July 16, 11 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. ET

East Asian Ink Painting – Back by popular demand! Join us for a relaxing workshop exploring the art of East Asian ink painting. Enjoy learning about different brushstrokes, as well as the mindful techniques that make up the process of ink painting, followed by an experiential process of applying black ink on paper to create a series of our own paintings. We will be using the same kit as the June 2025 MFA East Asian Ink Painting workshop.

Tuesday, July 29, 11 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. ET

Please choose one workshop and email Zakim_Center@dfci.harvard.edu to register.
