Gratitude Cards and Printmaking with the MFA – Join us this October to explore the joys of printmaking and card making! Inspired by the enchanting still life paintings of Dutch artist Rachel Ruysch, we’ll create our own beautiful greeting cards. We’ll learn about the art of printmaking and how to carve our own designs into linoleum blocks. This is the perfect opportunity to create delightful cards to share with friends and family!

Wednesday, Oct. 15, 11 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. ET

Loom Knitting: Make Your Own Hat Discover the relaxing rhythm of loom knitting, perfect for beginners and seasoned knitters alike! In this workshop we will learn the basics and find inspiration for continued creating- from tying a slipknot to enjoying the journey of creating a handmade cozy hat. In our supportive online community, you'll experience the mindful relaxation that comes with loom knitting and learn a skill that can accompany you through the changing seasons. Fashionable and functional, finished pieces are ideal for gifting or keeping for yourself! All skill levels are welcome!

A note about materials: We will include an egg-shaped grip for comfort while using the loom hook. To create a larger adaptive grip, poke holes in the top and bottom of a tennis ball, then thread the loom hook handle through the ball.
*Please bring your own scissors to the workshop, or let us know if you need scissors sent to you.

Tuesday, Oct. 21, 11 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. ET

*Please choose one workshop and email Zakim_Center@dfci.harvard.edu to register.
