Mosaics with the MFA
Wednesday, Oct. 21, 11 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. ET
Join us as we explore the fascinating world of mosaics. We’ll view the Community Arts Initiative exhibition, “Can You Hear the City?” along with other mosaic artwork from the collection at the Museum of Fine Arts. Inspired by this ancient art form, we’ll create our very own contemporary mosaic candle holders!

Make Your Own Cards

Tuesday, Oct. 27, 11 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. ET

In this heartwarming art class, we will come together to celebrate creativity, connection, and the joy of giving through the art of card making. Drawing inspiration from featured card-making designs, we will create our own unique and heartfelt cards for birthdays, holidays, special occasions, and just-because moments. Using the materials provided, as well as any personal items you’d like to include (photos, mementos, etc.), participants will design cards that express love, appreciation, celebration, and connection. Whether making a card for someone special or creating one to honor an occasion or offer encouragement to yourself, each creation will be a meaningful work of art meant to bring joy to both the maker and the recipient. Join us as we explore the power of handmade cards to celebrate life’s moments and strengthen our connection to self and others.

*Please choose one workshop and email Zakim_Center@dfci.harvard.edu to register.
