This workshop features a style of bookmaking that uses simple folded paper techniques for binding rather than sewing techniques. Create one-of-a-kind books that unfold in elegant shapes and colors, and fill them with your own ideas and inspiration using drawing and collage materials. Whether you’re new to bookmaking or an experienced bookmaker, these books will absolutely delight you!

Lymphatic 10-Step Opening (10 min)
Dec 16, 2024Description:
Bambi Mathay, LMT, BCTMB, RMT is an oncology massage therapist with the Zakim Center who will demonstrate the 10-Step opening protocol for lymphatic health.
This protocol was created for the Zakim Center's class - fLoW: Group Education & Practice for Lymphedema or Wellness - which is a self-massage and yoga class designed for patients with lymphedema or are at risk for lymphedema, or general lymphatic wellness. This sequence helps open the main lymphatic drainage sites of the body.
Other than pairing the protocol with our yoga class, you can also use the technique on its own, as a preparation for any movement program, or prior to using your lymphatic pump if you do use one.
For safety purposes, please work around areas where a medical device may be located (i.e. ports or pacemakers).
