Physical, mental and emotional stress can happen either before or after the holidays, or both. Using various meditation techniques, visualizations, deep breathing, static and dynamic stretches and gentle animal movements with the 5 building blocks, body, breath, mind, energy and spirit, gives you the tools to prepare or recover from both physical and mental stress of holidays and life in general. Gentle Chair Yoga (45 min)
5 Dec, 2025Description: This 45-minute chair yoga class invites you to find movement in a way that is gentle and supportive. This practice promotes mind-body awareness while focusing on improving flexibility, range of motion, strength, stability and balance. This is a great resource to start moving again and building up strength with the support of a chair and individualized modifications. If you are new to yoga, have difficulty getting down to the floor, experience pain in your muscles or joints, loss of energy, or balance issues due to peripheral neuropathy, this class is for you. All levels welcome. -

This practice promotes mind-body awareness while focusing on improving flexibility, range of motion, strength, stability and balance. Stretching through static postures and dynamic movements from the philosophy of Qi Gong and Tai Chi with a strong emphasis on correct alignment is one of the ways to achieve a better posture. Integrating deep breathing, meditation, energy work and evoking the spirit adds four more dimensions to your goal for a healthy posture and a healthy life.

Improving your mood according to the philosophies of Qigong and Tai Chi is done by opening the chest area and practicing the inner smile. To achieve this, we will use low impact static postures and gentle dynamic movements. We will also practice deep breathing into different parts of the lungs. Description: fLoW is an educational and interactive drop-in virtual class designed to help patients manage lymphedema, lymphedema risk (lymph node removal and/or radiation) or generally support the lymphatic system by engaging in self-massage techniques and yoga. The instructors for this class are Maria “Bambi” Mathay, LMT, BCTMB, RMT and Barbara “Babz” Jackson Tobin, OTR/L, CLT-LANA, CYT. Is this class for me?This class is suitable for all patients who have lymphedema, lymphedema risk (lymph node removal and/or radiation), or a history of lymphedema. Modifications will be provided. What’s the structure of fLoW? Virtual 50-minute drop-in classes include instruction in general lymphatic massage and drainage, and a 30-minute yoga practice.
