  • Description: This Yoga Flow class is designed for participants that have had practiced yoga and have less range of motion limitations. The class is moderately paced to cultivate strength, flexibility, and balance within a gentle, continuous sequence of postures. Focus: twist.

  • Description: Meditation is a practice that can help us learn to be present in the moment and navigate life's challenges. The class is led by Patty Arcari, PhD, RN, program manager of mindfulness and meditation at Dana-Farber's Leonard P. Zakim Center for Integrative Therapies.

  • Description: In this 30-minute class you will experience an alternative mindfulness meditation experience with the presence of live music. Research shows that listening to live music during meditation may help focus an active mind, decrease heart rate, anxiety and pain, and guide you to a deeper relaxation.

  • Description: This 45-minute joyful flow (vinyasa) is a practice that connects movement to breath in a sequence of yoga poses. The class is designed to promote a mind-body connection as it develops strength, stamina, flexibility, balance, relaxation, and focus. The warm-up portion of this class has more supine (on your back) poses and a few kneeling poses (knee support and modifications are offered). Encourages transitions from kneeling to standing and standing to stepping back using blocks (modifications are offered).


    Designed for patients with breast cancer and suitable for all cancer diagnoses!

  • Description: This 45-minute chair yoga invites you to find movement in a way that is gentle and supportive. The practice invites awareness into the body and activates muscles that help you find length up through the spine for better posture and energy flow. If you are new to yoga, have difficulty getting down to the floor, experience pain in your muscles or joints, loss of energy, or balance issues due to peripheral neuropathy, this class is for you. Also included a gentle self-manual lymph drainage massage to help stimulate the lymphatic system (an important component of the immune system). Self-manual massage of hands and using a massage ball for feet to help with symptoms of peripheral neuropathy are shown. 

    Designed for patients with breast cancer and suitable for all cancer diagnoses!

  • Description: Join Nancy Campbell, MS, exercise physiologist at Dana-Farber's Zakim Center, for a 35-minute workout focused on strengthening the whole body. This workout includes a cardio warm-up followed by 30 minutes of strength training which can be done standing and on the floor or on your bed. This class is designed for patients with breast cancer and suitable for all cancer diagnoses.

    Chair 

    Hand weights – soup cans, water bottles 

    Yoga mat - move to carpet, take off socks
